演講人介紹🫵🏽：Professor Patrick Leman Studied at St Edmund Hall, Oxford University (MA Psychology& Philosophy) and Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge (PhD Psychology). As the Dean of Education at IoPPN, KCL, Professor Leman is responsible for developing an academic vision for undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programs. This vision blends world class teaching with internationally leading, society-changing research. His research focuses on Children's social development. He explores the links between developing processes of communication and children's peer group collaboration.

演講內容介紹:

Children often regard adults as infallible sources of knowledge. However, in discussion with their peers children can often freely question, discuss and explore the world for themselves. In this lecture I will describe research examining how children interact with peers and how these social interactions are affected by identities such as gender and ethnicity. I will also consider how interaction can be a forum for children to learn new knowledge.
